After many years of volunteer work by the staff and student's at Mount Royal College in helping to put on the competition, it was decided that this was the last year at that site.

This year the society nearly died. There was not a sufficient infusion of new blood plus the difficulty of trying to find a new site for the competition.

Fortunately, Craig Maynard, an instrustor at S.A.I.T. (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) contacted Mike Smith and suggested that the programming competition be held in conjunction with the 4th Western Canada Robot Games at S.A.I.T.

The competition was held this year in the Thomas Riley Computing Centre with the help of Tyler Opsal, the centre system manager.
