The judging committee had two problems judging the logo competition in Part B. We had viruses on two computers and were unable to open the Part B programs on the diskettes. This is the first time we have experienced a virus during the competition.

The committee has decided that since it is not clear which came first -- the virus or the disk problems -- they have decided to award several additional 3rd place keeper plaques. These changes do not affect any other awards.

Rule changes will be made so that it is the competitor's responsibility to check that their computer and all supplied diskettes are virus free. It will be recommended that competitors have a "virus checking" program running during the competition.
